curiousity about 70 Challenger grilles

This is purely curiosity, but did someone repop '70 Challenger grilles? i see some with really bright and shiney grilles, which doesnt look original to me.....

It's not a repop the owner stripped the paint off

I like when they strip the paint then reapply the black and leave the stepped section shiny......................very cool effect.  IMO this is how the factory should have done them on the 70 Challenger.  I personally love the recessed look of a 70 Challenger and this treatment of the grille gives the centre section even more depth.

 I like the chrome and black look also.  :clapping: Maybe flat would look better than gloss though. A little too shiny. :2cents:

looks good! what did you use?? my 69 dart bezels are stripped but i need to strip the grille, already like that when i got them....

Maybe even a dark argent would look good with this combo aswell.
looks good! what did you use?? my 69 dart bezels are stripped but i need to strip the grille, already like that when i got them....
When i stripped paint from my 68 dart grille, i took it down to a freind who strips paint from Aluminum. He dipped my grille in a stipper tank over night and it came out looking brand new. :2thumbs:
