QUESTION on the new repro E-Body Heater Control Plates
« on: December 22, 2007 - 12:46:23 AM »
This new repro part just came out, and everybody lists it as a rally dash piece... isn't it the same for a non rally car too??? weren't they all just black plastic, and textured??

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150197971834

they are on the net for as low as $115...

I have a non-rally dash, and want one....

The non rallye one had a curve on the corner to make room for the speedometer because it was so big.

AARudy - if you are looking for a non-rally unit then you should have no problem finding one amongst the members here on C-C.Com. I have one I do not need up here in Canada but someone closer to you in the US may be able to help. Crossing the line for shipping etc seems like we are on different planets. I wish the US/Canada would get together and organise the movement of traded goods just like the European Common Market Countries. IE no borders to cross. Sorry for the ramble

i do see and remember the difference now.. I liked the repro one, with the nice plating on the lettering, and the new finish... I spoke with a friend who may be able to cut that curve out nice and clean.. he is a plastic guy who makes things out of acrylic and ABS... it cant be that difficult... i do have a couple of old ones here..

thanks guys for the input, I'll let you know what happens..!
