NJ Lien Question?

Is there a way to put a lien on a car that I sold about a month ago on ebay.
Heres the story
-So I put my 1974 Charger SE on ebay because I bought another charger. The winner of the auction is from Croatia and his shipper was supposed to pick it up a week from the end of the auction. He said he would be here bright and early on saturday morning, a week after the auction, he shows up at about 7pm on saturday night. So he pays me the money and I give him the title and a bill of sale. While trying to load the car on the trailer, we find out the trailer is not wide enough. So he leaves and says he will come back with a different trailer a week from that date. I get no phone call from the guy until yesterday, about a month after the end of the auction. He says he will be here before 5pm on today. 5pm comes and goes, he hasn't showed up and hasn't called. I am getting tired of this car taking up my garage space while I don't even own it. I wont put the car outside because I don't want it to rust. Is the a way that a normal person like me can put a lien on the car so that I can either get the car back, or make him pay for storage fees?

If you can get in touch with the buyer, tell him the car must be moved because of some local ordinance.  You can create any reason for the move, either neighborhood covenants, or whatever else fits.  Tell him that since YOU no longer own it, it MUST be moved and you have no place to store it.  Tell him you will have it taken to a storage facilty where there will be a per diem charge for them to keep HIS car, and the accrued charges are going to be his responsibility.  That ought to speed him up a little bit....

tell him he has 24 hours to remove his car from your property or you will call the police and have it towed away and he can get it out from the impound.

I would think it be hard to put a lien on it (at least here(WI)) but chargeing storage is perfectly legal.

Close enough, that van is rusty too, rustier than the car it should have been pulling. My parents said I can't threaten the guy with storage fees because the shipper sucks and they said I can't threaten to put it in the street and have it towed. But, if he doesn't call within a week it will become a semi-parts car and my 73 may wind up with a 3-speed wiper motor instead of a 2-speed.

I dont know. If you were closer, you could leave it with me. I hate to see anyone get a bummer because of a shipper. I would just let it set. I sold a 39 dodge 1/2 ton truck for 700 bucks to a guy in Wi. He was going to pick it up in 2 weeks. It sat for 2 yrs then a big 18 wheeler showed up and I helped him. I tried to get ahold of the guy, but he shipped over seas. The only thing I hated was wasps nest all over it made it ruff to move. But it did keep people away from it to.

Please, Don't take it out on the buyer - He is a fellow Mofan. I can't imagine what he is going through on his side. He probably thinks that he hired competent people to handle this for him and they could be feeding him lies about the progress. He probably scanned the internet, found a site with beautiful trucks, professional looking people, etc. What shows up at your door is a van with a weak ass trailer hooked to it. Try to keep in mind that it really isn't the buyer (yes, he hired the transporters and they are acting as his agent, but .... really) that is the problem here. Can anybody on the board located on the other side of the pond possibly have better luck trying to contact this guy

Just curious, is the shipper supposedly a "close friend" of the buyer, or just some independent company that they had the misfortune of hiring?  The answer to that question would make a big difference to me.  If this is something the buyer has supposedly personally lined up, then I might not be so forgiving.
