Trim vs. no trim

Why not paint it Plum Crazy and give the people what they want.
 

So far it's been the top vote with others I have talked to.

I don't have the original wheel well trim anymore. Just the rocker trim. I hear complaints on the reproduction wheel well trim on how it fits. So I would like to hear about that.

Plus the paint just looks too dull.

Keep it black.  Nothing meaner, tougher, balls-out then a black 'Cuda.

You see too many Plum Crazy 71 Cudas?  I wish I lived where you are!!!
While I love almost all stock colors on Cudas, I think too many Plum Crazy Cudas is a lot like seeing too many bikini clad supermodels.

Seriously - I think Black is also a great choice - especially triple black, but the purple is tough to beat.

I really like Black over Plum Crazy aswell, Just because the purple has been flogged to death.  Don't get me wrong as this is just a personal prefference, you do what you want............ The picture below is my personal favourite color combo for 71 'Cuda.

No trim I say. But that's just my opinion. I'm having a 71 built with gills that will look much like this one.... but... you know... a 71.

Daayyum, that car looks sweet - is he running a smaller wheel in back than in front?

Oh and I say the trim makes the car. It defines the lines of the car. In a car like above with the shaved door handles and "stealth" theme I would say maybe not.

I was just messing with Ya.  I love them all.  My whole point was just that the High Impact colors are kind of a signature, like a red Ferrari.  I see Ferraris in black almost as often as I see them in red, but when somebody asks me to close my eyes and envision a Ferrari, I bet its gonna be a red one.
Thats just the way I am.
Some people might go see Van Halen and wish for them to play new material because they heard Panama too many times already.  To Each his own.
Thankfully, we all get an opinion to keep things interesting.

To get back on topic, My vote is keep the trim - especially if you go with a dark color.

    I say go with the trim--to me it just makes a car stand out more visually than without it. And I like a FC7 71 cudas

Looking at the photos, TC, does your 'Cuda have a vinyl top bud? The chrome trim of the vinyl top (IMO) would look quite bare without the other trim, look at the photos above for evidence. IMO, they finish off the car.

My car originally had the vinyl top. Going nuts deciding if I want it back or not.
All the trim back on, it would be definitely be put back on it.

The plum crazy one below is what I'm leaning towards having it look like.

No, it's a trick of perspective. They're 19s in front and 20s in the rear. He posts here on the forums, though I forget his name. I believe he's in Denmark. It's a Hemi car with an Alterktion front end. It looks so low because the air bags are deflated if I recall correctly.

I found that car while looking for high end wheels. "Ah Boze wheels look nice. Let's see if they have any Camaros in the custom section so I can envision what they'd look like in a Cuda." And there that car was. And so my wheel choice was made.
