Here are some pictures of when I did mine. I used a large bolt with a metal plate to pull the floor closer for welding. Give it a shot and it might help.

I drilled a 1/2 hole there for the bolt and will put a rust proofing plug there before the carpet go's in.

The hole in the middle of the frame lined right up with a hole on the floor board on mine.
Basically I did the same thing and pulled it in with the center bolt and nut then welded it in all around.

GOOD GOD MAN - not much car left there!! :22yikes:
And I thought skinning two quarters and a (single) floor pan was a lot to do!!!  :pullinghair:
Lucky you are so adept at metalwork - it would take a mere mortal years to do this!! :scared:

Are XV aware of just how off the fit is? Someone should tell them so they can correct the problem as they are not as described. Bugger too, I have some ready to go on for Madeline. My poor body man LOL.

I betcha XV just copied US Cartools frame connectors. Or made some deal with them. So either one won't be an exact fit.

My friend and I are going to make new frame connectors. We are going to start by forming up some sheet metal to the size of the connectors and I will cut and grind to fit them to the floor then we will flatten them out and scan them.We will use his Mazak Lazer to cut the new pieces then we will form them up.If it work like we think the should be a nice fit.

Nice meeting you too Chuck, Thanks for the trunk lid.    I was able to return my rear floors and trade them for the correct AMD 71-74 Challenger floors. I won't have to do any custom fabricating like you did to your brand new pans.  I kept looking at their complete rear rails trying to decide if I wanted to charge another $345 for it, but decided to repair mine (I'm cheap and now a little deeper in the hole)

My friend hauled all of my parts back for me but I won't see him till Wed. After that, I should be able to get going on my vert again.

So I just ordered a set of the XVs on Ebay. for $179.  I'm going to install them before or as I'm installing the rear floor pans so I can get the angle right.  I'll post pics in my thread as soon as I install them.

How does the emergency/parking brake cable fit with the frame connectors?  Is there a slot? Or under?

I'm going to cut a hole and weld a piece of tube through the connectors.
