Merry Christmas
« on: December 24, 2007 - 12:59:14 AM »
In these days when many are uncertain about how acceptable it is to say "Merry Christmas", as opposed to "Happy Holidays", I'd like to wish everyone on here a very Merry Christmas!

Being a filthy Joe Foreigner not well versed in contemporary northern-american etiquette, I have been wondering if it's offensive to some if I wish them a merry christmas?

Of course, people with turbans, yarmulkas, bald guys wearing orange bathrobes at airports, teenagers with silly make-up and clad in black metal t-shirts, and other who appears as not being obviously christian will most likely get a "happy hollidays". But those who want to change christmas into "holliday seasons" for everyone so the non-christians won't be offended... uh-uh.
