Spare Tire Idea
« on: December 24, 2007 - 11:43:19 AM »
I am not sure if this is has been on here before, so I will post it.

I found a spare tire from a early 90's Jeep at a local junkyard.  It fit on a 77 Aspen that was there, so I figured it would fit on the Challenger.  I have not had time to test fit it, but I just wanted to share the information.  The spare is a 16X4 with a 125/90/16 tire.  It is about 24 1/4 inches tall and should be a good option to have more space in your trunk.  The best thing was that it only cost me $13.43 for the wheel and tire.

:iagree:  I like your avitar also.  Could be a good option for a spare tire.

looks good, just be careful if you have a suregrip in the back. Putting a shorter tire than the other side will cause the clutches to slip/burnup constantly.  would work great up front though for sure! nice find

Another option for space savers is any mustangs with the five bolt patterns and the older mini vans with the 5 bolt. I have used both.

I considered starting a new ricer trend, running a spare on all 4 corners.  Kinda like the matchbox wheels they used to run.

Imagine the burnouts you could do with donut spare tires!!!!  :burnout:

Might only need like 100hp!
