since the remote controll side mirror was working perfectly, I didn`t want to take the risk of destroying the mechanism by cutting open the clamps that hold the wires... so re-chroming wasn`t an option  :-\
I decided to paint the side mirror body color and I`m actually liking it.  I loved the chrome though... maybe one day I`ll buy a new chrome piece, but for now it will do.

yesterday I made 1" offset hangers & shackles for the leafsprings.  Painted them today ,but I had to let them dry in the kitchen due to cold weather    My wife is at work  :grinyes:

:looking good your doing a great job on the little things that will make a great finished product  :woo:

Nice of the wife to understand the need for a new plant hanger

tiny update... not moving FFW at the moment since my neck is spoiling the game  :(
both horns didn`t work so I took them apart and cleaned them up... they are loud  :woo:

finished up the fueltank. The tank was superclean on the inside so I decided to clean up and paint the outside. Cleaned all surface rust and layed a few coats of epoxy, then a few silver.

Door and roofrail weaterstrip were also in good shape and re-used.  the new J-clips I got from Dave for the doorstrips made it all fit like new

today I cleaned up the quarterglass and mechanisms... I hope to find some time tomorrow to get them in the car...  :grinno:
