Where the speedo attaches:

There is an oil seal between the pinion shaft and the housing that prevents leaks.  The O ring prevents the whole adapter from leaking.  I bought the seal set really cheap off ebay (<$10).

Go with electric fans.
Not a fan of electric fans  But if you decide to go that way, a few members went with the HHR fan :2cents:

I prefer the high volume mopar clutch fan.

for my 440, I use a 3 core 26" radiator, stock type clutch 7 bladed fan with a stock fan shroud.  I  also use a 195 degree thermostat for my fuel injection.  I can sit idling for hours on a 95 degree day and the temp never goes above 212. Car has A/C too.

440 stroked street car, 26" 3 core radiator, 6 blade fan, 180 thermostat.  Even when 90+ degrees, stays right around 180 without problem.

Hey Dutch,

I just checked out your list of things to do and the first one is cooling ? How cool do you feel cruising down the road now, i would not think it could get much cooler than that old mate . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
How is the carburetor coping with the engine, did the jet size work out ?

Kenny.

PS: Car looks amazing :2thumbs:

hey Kenny   it`s running super cool now buddy  :bigshades: :bigshades: :bigshades:

still got a bit of fine tuning to do. readjusted the carb this afternoon. It dieseled for a second after shutting down. Didnt have that happen before...  :clueless:   Seems to run smoother and better response now... didn`t cough anymore after that, so I hope it beeing a tad rich was the problem. Plugs looked just fine though....oh well, time will tell.

been a while...  roads are full of salt already so it`s time to get some stuff sorted.  First of the winter works:  new dash cluster.   I built one a while back, but never really liked it. I installed a smaller steering wheel which resulted in hard reading some of the gauges, so out it came.  Initial plan was to use some color but it`s so hard to find a color for the interior to match the bodycolor ,so it became black after all.
I used black vinyl and a foam-backed suede for the centre part.  Took a little time to hammer the stainless  to where I wanted it to sit, but it`s there.
Next are the lower portions.
