I`ve read, learned and laughed a lot, and met a lot of interesting people and their cars/ projects.  I hope at least some of my posts have been of some help to someone...and will continue to be as I work on my car...  :eek7:

    @ engineers;  I do have some crappy pics...  I can`t take good ones right now since I`ve got the frontend burried under a ton of other stuff...
                       I should have followed hemiken`s advice and drill some holes in the plate... not that I care about the weight, but I need access to the
                       nut that holds the bump rubber...  :misbehaving:

    the sun starts shining , the birds are singing and I started up welder and grinder again  :working:
    First thing I did was repin the hinges of the driverside door and put the door in the car. I knew the door to quarter gap was not correct so I had to see what was the problem there first.... well... it fit like crap...
    I think the door once belonged to a poor repair front damaged car...  they cut the door to make it fit and copper welded the gap. I had to weld a 4mm wire to the door to be able to grind it into the correct shape again. Luckily the copper welds were poor quality so I could grind out most of the copper and mig weld it together.
    Once that was done I made the m46-like quarter scoops. Steel, and welded to the quarter. They will be paited in bodycolor with flat black on the inside.
