Very nice progress. I had not been in this thread in a while. I like the scoops you did in metal, they ought to last a long time. I know you are doing lemon twist but in some of the pics I swear it looks like butterscotch. I will be checking in on this thread more often.  :2thumbs:
Hey Brett, the color is not Lemon Twist..... It is more of a Cheesewiz color buddy, cross between Yellow and Orange. :2thumbs:

yep, the lemon twist was just a little to yellow for me.  I went to the paintshop and looked for a color not too yellow and not too dukes.  Came up with this one. I think it was used on VW`s in the mid seventies. the pics don`t do much justice to it either.  Once the body is painted I`ll ask my buddy to take some shots, he `s a pro photographer.  :picture:

I had some serious doubts about the color a little while ago and was sure I would paint it silver or green, but my son wouldn`t have it and neither would my painter so I guess I ll stick to plan A.

hey hemiken,
any news on the tan stuff?  would be an awesome step ahead for you  :2thumbs:

Wow. In some of the first pics of the things like door hinges and trunk latch it looks very pale yellow. Guess it was the flash messing up the first pics and the later ones I saw are more like what it really is. Either color looks good to me. Great progress  :cooldancing:

Plan A is a good plan.
I understand as you get close you start to panic! I was going to paint Twisted Fish Ultra Violet (a purple that makes Plum Crazy look pale ) for the first year or two. Graphite cept creeping in my mind  :grinyes: and look what happened.
Two models, Two makes, One year, One body.

Hey Dutch....... you could have cut a hole out on the otherside of the hood to match where the rust was and turned the hood in to a functional fresh air hood  :roflsmiley: :2thumbs:  Looking good though buddy, i like the new pivot pins in the hinges too :bananasmi

 no kit... I`m good....

:icon16:  :smilielol:     at least that`s what my wife says all the time....    :woo:

It`s just two sizes. I did redrill the big holes cause they were pretty oval, but other than that it`s just turning and hammering...

I used vcmo.  If you want to know the exact material # for that, I can look it up...
