got the tailpanel finished today.  I can`t believe I had second thoughts about painting it black... 
the `cuda tag was abused badly... holes drilled right through and some butcher had been roaming around with an angle grinder... 

Although it looked great, my heart sank a little when I saw the yellow on your taillight bezel. Painted tail says Barracuda all the way as far as I am concerned. A black tail is just so much meaner looking imo. I always keep my opinions to myself but since you changed your mind I felt free to absolutely agree with you

Found 1  Wooden shoe at the junk store,  How do I know if it is a genuine shoe or just a planter?

well... I don`t think I ever saw a fake wooden shoe      you could check for a foot inside... or a footprint...      doesn`t really matter if you have only one.  that sounds strange... step- clunck, step -clunck...

Thanks for the offer, LOL. But no thanks.   Its just funny that I saw a full sized wooden shoe after noticing yours. Thats not something you see in St. Louis, Missouri, right in the middle of the U.S of A.

And seeing it in a thrift reseller store made me think it was more for decoration. It was a full sized wooden shoIf someone like you saw this in someones home as decoration, you would probably have a good laugh, just like we might laugh if we saw one of our shoes on display over there.

man... does it take a lot of time to clean & redo all parts...    had the rearbumper brackets blasted & powdercoated,  brakepedal assy too.  cleaned up rubber seals on cowl and hood, as they were lemontwist from a previous paintjob... looks like new again 
blacked out the cowl area.

tnx Mike.   yea, feels good to bolt stuff onto it. When I started work on the car, I took off and boxed all parts and most weren`t touched since,  so that`s a lot of stuff to clean up.  Many parts actually are in good shape and just have 40 year old crap on them,  but it`s all small stuff like little rings ,screws and rubbers that hold up work since I can`t just walk into a story here to get them.  Can`t afford to order a rebuild kit for every part on the car either, so it takes some Mc. gyvering here & there...

It's always a joy to see your progress. Your attention to detail never ceases to amaze me. The first picture, of the driver's side rear of the car: awsome job on tail.  I worked on the bump out that the chrome goes on (between the blackout and the body paint).  Not a fun job. 

Quick question: your garage floor is inlayed brick?

BTW, my aunt, seeing that pic, says you need bigger tires on the rear.

since the remote controll side mirror was working perfectly, I didn`t want to take the risk of destroying the mechanism by cutting open the clamps that hold the wires... so re-chroming wasn`t an option   
I decided to paint the side mirror body color and I`m actually liking it.  I loved the chrome though... maybe one day I`ll buy a new chrome piece, but for now it will do.



yesterday I made 1" offset hangers & shackles for the leafsprings.  Painted them today ,but I had to let them dry in the kitchen due to cold weather     My wife is at work
