You are flying along.  Looks great!  Were you able to buy a new rubber gasket that goes behind the blower motor?  It looks new.

hey Jason     doesn`t feel like flying at all bro....  :grinno:    I didn`t try to get a new rubber gasket. It cleaned up really nice... probably due to all paint that was on it....     I did use a new foamgasket on the inside where it meets the heaterbox, that one was gone.  Are those rubber ones reproduced at all?

That's what I was wondering.

Bart,
I'm looking around to decide how to procede with the paint job of my car.  Your paint seems to be very glossy.  How kind oof pant did you use ?  Is it acrylic basecoat + clear coat  or a single stage paint ?    thanks.

it`s 2K sherwin williams.... no clue on the chemical recipy.  I just went to my paintshop and told them to spray some good stuff on. this is it...  I didn`t use clear, but that`s just how you like it . Adding clear will get it more glossy I guess.  It might be a wise thing to do if the car is out in the sun a lot, the clear will conserve the color.

not too much progress here, but still enough to post some pics...

here are the gauges I ordered from speedhut a while ago. I sold the rallye gauges to a member here, so they got a good home in a `70 challenger vert.  I`m still thinking and drawing how to make the clusterpanel, but getting there... should look pretty sweet.  :bigshades:  All white lettering will light up dk. green at night and all black stays black.
The speedo is gps driven and clocks my 1/4 miles with time & speed.  same for 0-60`s

I`ve made a start putting the frontend together and back on the car. I was planning on building the engine and tranny first, and bolt it to the K-member before installing, but I have to get the car rolling on some decent wheels as it`s getting too heavy for the dollywheels. The space I work in only allows one open door ,so I need to turn the car around every now& then.
the pavement in front of my house is not level enough to push the car across on the small wheels.
I still need to torque down some bolts & nuts, and paint the swaybar brackets.

I have read a tech article on Hot Rod magazine last month talking about a self modelling fiberglass sheet.  Basically you trim the fiberglass piece as a cardboard and let the it cure on the sun shines. :wow:

I don't remember the name of the product  but if you are interested I can retrive it for you.
