thanks.   Stock springs.  I have the koni`s up front and they feel good ( at least that half mile with 348 road bumps  ::)  )  I read about the eddy`s and most seem to like the firm ride, but this was awefull... felt like a go-cart in the rear.  I`ll see what happens after some miles... if there`s no improvement I will swap to koni`s in the rear as well.   :2thumbs:

 :faint: my goodness..... at times I`m such a dumb a$$  :bricks1:
My rear still needs a pinion snubber. Somewhere down the road ,I put a couple long bolts in the holes for the snubber.... but never took em out  :violin:
Those Eddy`s don`t feel half bad  :bigsmile: 
Got her aligned today and drove around the block for the first time  :cooldancing:  everything worked the way it should and it was awesome to see people smile everywhere I passed.  Took me almost 6 years to get there, but thats all forgotten now ,... well almost.
One thing I don`t like is how light the steering feels... Rebuilt the box and it does not have any play, but it`s soooo light.  Is there a way to reduce pump pressure, or any other trick to get some more feel?

You can either get a heavier spring installed in your box (not sure anyone local to you knows how to do that).  Akin to what FirmFeel does to their boxes.

Or, not sure if this works, but get a Heidt's adjustable pump pressure valve.

I was thinking of something like that valve, but the ad says it works on rack& pinion only ?

There was a Mopar article on how using the slant 6 pump made the steering feel a little better. It went as far as using a washer to get the right spring pressure if you didn't have a slant 6 spring. Do a google search for it and it will pop up.  What I do to get better feel in all of my Mopars, is to get rid of that 15" sheeting wheel and put in a 13.5" Grant wheel.  Feels like less play and easier to get in and out of.

I'm going to have to try that shim. that was a good article!  I went with a Firm Feel rebuild, but i still want a tighter feel to the steering. bigger tie rods are next on my list to do too.

Your care is looking great dutch!  glad to see you are one step closer to being on the road!

Always glad to see your Cuda progress.
Your valve stems are cool. I think that they're illegal in Conneticut, though.
Forgot about the pinion-snubber?  Must be that Dutch beer.

Won't be long now and you'll be cruising the Cuda through Netherlands highways and embarrassing Porches!!

9mm Luger ammo has been scarce around here lately. I've been to many gun and ammo stores around me and most of them sell out within 2 hours of stocking the shelves. I have 4 9mm semi-automatics and they don't like sitting idle for too long.

Did you just slip them over the stem/cap or epoxy the regular cap into the 9mm case?

my list of things to do after my first 10 mile trip...

-first of all,  cooling.  gonna start with the cheapest and work my way up to the most expensive.  Check for air in the system, get me a new fan clutch and a new radiator.  I`m thinking a new aluminium, but I`m gonna get me a quote or two on replacing the core as I like the looks of an oem cooler.

-looks like there are 2 trans leaks.  Selector shaft seal and it seems to leak from where the speedo cable attaches.  Any one know from the head what is behind the round plate that could cause a leak there?

-steering pump pressure needs to come down.

-last but not least...still got a rather unhealthy sound coming from the dana.  I heard the noise before I tore down the car and talked to a rear end mechanic about it.  Advise was to everything else in the drive line in good shape before tearing down the rear, which I did ,but the noise is still there.  My guess is the inner pinion bearing is bad since it makes a kinda grinding noise on acceleration. Could be gear adjustment. we`ll see.....
