wiper switch problems
« on: December 24, 2007 - 02:23:17 PM »
I have a 73 wiper motor on the right.  It has the same plug in the car as in the picture.
What plug do I need to make the wiper switch on the left work, the left is a 70 barracuda.
My wiring harness for the 70 hasn't a plug here so I must rewire one in place.
  thanks

Why don't you just change your wiper switch over to the unit you want to use?

3 speed switch on the left. 2 speed on the right I do believe. And the 2 speed should have a foot pump washer. The left may be a variable speed.  I guess you say they cut the wires on your 70 cuda right?  What wiper motor did it used to have to begin with?

How many prongs out of the back of each of those??  I think 2 speed has 6 and 3 speed has 7.   :clueless:

I can't swap switch's because the 73 goes in my 73. I just removed it as I was trying to figure out differences.  The 73 is now back in it's home.  The 70 doesn't have a wiper motor yet.  I just had the switch so I am trying to build upon that.
Moparal, Why do you say that the two speed has the foor pump washer?  I havn't played with one of those yet.
The wiring harness in my 70 is not originally from that car.  I had nothing to start with.

the 2 spd switch will not work with a 3 speed wiper or the other way around , if you need to use a 3 speed wiper on the 70 you need a different switch to control it

Paypal payment has been sent.  Thanks again for the help everyone.  This plug that I am getting should take care of the problem.

PM me and I will try to remember to go out and see if I have one that works.  I had one but not sure if I still do.  I might have given it to a buddy of mine who needed one.
   Moparal
PM me a price.  73 isn't really what I am looking for but maybe we can work something.

The plug I just recieved is not the correct plug. The two plugs I recieved are off of two different year barracuda harness's.
The one on the left is the one I am trying to get.  I will try to get a closer picture later.
The one on the right is a 73 two speed switch.

I need a plug that fits a switch with the part number of
  2947404  23199
      2029

This car is an early built 9th month of 69  barracuda.  The switch looks to have been there for some time.
