Scam Ad?

Hi! New here! Background - have about 4 a body Barracudas in our yard, only 1 runs though. 68 Convertible, needs some resto, and has a nice 340 waiting to go into it, currently a 6 cylinder. Now I know as a Barracuda owner my husband and I are constantly looking in the paper, magazines, etc, for that "great deal" on a Cuda, if you know what I am talking about. Well, several days ago, we came across an ad in our daily NJ paper, with an ad for a 1970 Barracuda with 80,000 miles for $4800!!??!!?? It said to email for more pics and info. the phone number was a Wisconsin number. I emailed her and I got a response saying the car was in running condition, yes $4800, the car (and her) was located in Montana.  And, no, I didn't get any extra pics. I did email again, to ask for more pics, and why the ad was in the NJ paper, but I haven't received any answer back.  But what I didn't tell her and you, that I also, through a search on the computer, the ad was also in San Francisco, San Diego, Arizona, and London!!!!! Anyone else see this ad? Or anyone else know more about this? I couldn't "google" anything more about it

I seen the same thing in a ad for a '70 454 4spd. Chevelle SS a few months back. Just for the heck of it I e-mailed her for some photos. The car looked awesome,  dark green with black interior. And it was a jersey newspaper , cell phone was Texas # and she said the car was in Montana. I e-mailed and ask her if the $ was a mistake I would say it's a easy 40k plus car, she said no it's 4k. Well, you know the rest of story....................the end.....

Yes this is a scam along with a lot of emails that I get each and every day.  Wish they would all get caught and put away and stop getting hopes up for a good deal.  I am sure that there are some out there but few and far between anymore.

The last time I saw something like that (Big Sky Mt, Bumphuc Egypt, where ever ) I always sayI got a cousin that lives about 20 miles from there, he'll come to see you , look at the car , bring cash. Funny , I never get a response after that..

There was a similar ad about 6 weeks ago in the Cody, Wyoming " Enterprise " for a 1970 Dodge Charger RT with a hemi, $ 4800 and it's all yours and oh, yeah, we'll even include the shipping. I messed with this person via e-mail ( because for some reason the phone number they include in the ad is never any good )  before spending my time better elsewhere. The old adage is still true - " If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is ".
