(We need another word other than "girdle". Reminds me of fat old ladies! We need a macho name!)

I don't mind the name girdle,do they still even make them for fat women? I think we should come up with a better name for fat women,....Any way I wasn't planning to use studs either.Figured on just using ARP bolts. Do studs make a difference in strength? Seems like they would be the same as far as that goes if they are made of the same material. Also would a "GIRDLE" 3/16 of an inch effect the bolt lenght enough to make it unuseable?

the bolts sit far below/ above the girdle , you cannot tie the main caps to the girdle without using studs , so you need a set of extra long studs , nuts to hold the cap into place & then washers to shim to the girdle & a second set of nuts to hold the girdle onto the studs , the extra long studs is what I am having problems sourcing

Strength wise, studs, instead of bolts, are the way to go for Main Caps, so I have been told. When building my Cuda, I was told to use studs instead of bolts, so the big block could handle the power.
