Thanks guys.  Checked with Holley.  200.00 minor repair and flow bench set to factory specs.  600.00 - 700.00 for total rebuild incl. all new plating of plated parts and all new other parts, tested and set to spec.

There's books on the subject. Have some fun, and try it yourself first. They're pretty simple, actually.
72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

What, thats a rip off. Find another shop, most of the time all it needs is new gaskets. Sometimes the main body needs to be milled.

I would just replace all the gaskets and clean the metering  blocks and make sure the air bleeds in the main body are clean. Should cost under $50. Sometimes the base plate is worn out but even still, new are around $125.

Ya - I'm beginning to find out that Holley is not such a good deal.  I'll probably try it myself.  Worth a try.
