How much more trouble would it be to run a SRT4 drive train?  My buddies SRT4 is a fast 4cyl. with respectable fuel economy.

I know the right off the bat you will need new mounts, axles, and linkage.  I am sure that the SRT4 also has sensors at other points on the car that would take special custom parts.

Does the Rampage use a carb?

far as i know 1987 was the first year of the throttle bodied 2.2 in the omni/horizons.  i was selling the 6995.00 " omni america " back in those days at a dodge dealer in milwaukee and the efi was one of the selling points.  you could get tbi in the k cars earlier than that.  you could get the 2+2 models those had a hot cam and made like 110 horse compared to maybe 96 in the regular omni.  one of the funnest cars i ever drove was a 1987 glhs shelby charger.  that one had a 174 horse intercooled turbo. it would be fun to have a rampage with that sucker in it.

i passed on buying one of these things a couple months ago for 700 ill see if the guy still wants to sell it. its the dual headlight model so it must be an 84. theres another one of know of its an 81 i think it could be had for 1k a buddy of mine who owns a small repair shop uses it for running parts and stuff.  everything he has is for sale hehe.

Mine was an 82, and it had a carb. I think in 84 they might have put a little larger engine in. My friend had an 84 and it had a lot more power, and got better fuel mileage, but it was also a carb.

Thanks for looking, but since I am in Georgia, I am not sure how easy it would be to travel that far right now.  Don't get me wrong, I would love to see some pics if you get some, but it would have to be a really sweet deal for me to get time off from work and drive that far.   :2thumbs:
