I'm guessing 70 GTX on the other side next to the rotisserie, and a '71 GTX in the shed. Nice project, I love the second gens. Almost bought a '68 before I bought my car.
Can someone educate me on the difference between the C500 and the regualar Charger? The only things I notice are the rear window, and the grill. Was it a higher or lower price class then the base?
The '70 & '71 GTXs are other customers' cars at the paint shop.
The 1969 Charger 500s were a limited production version to qualify the car for NASCAR racing. The cars were built as R/Ts, then modified for Chrysler by Creative Industries. The aerodynamic improvements consisted of a flush grille (based on a 1968 Coronet), fastback rear window (added as a scab-on plug), and A-Pillar air deflector moldings. Later in the model year the Daytona package added the aero nose and rear wing to the Charger 500 pacakge. Both cars carried the XX29 fastback designation...
Same higher price class as the Charger R/T
