Sorry but the only thing I've really been told is to look for a repro set, because the mirrors are difficult to rechrome.  I've seen a couple sets that were done locally (Dallas), and they did not come out very well at all.  In fact, when I get my car repainted this year, I'm going to have my mirrors painted, also.  There is probably a better alternative, but nothing that I have heard of.

They are. I had picked up a 1970 driver side chrome mirror earlier this year thru ebay and the fact that the glass had no date codes led me to believe it was a repro. A passenger side was purchased from Peter Gee (PG Classics) several days ago. I'll post some pics after it arrives

For the price of rechroming, it almost makes the price of the repops look good. About 5 years ago, I paid $150 a mirror to Nu-chrome. They came out nice, and still look good. Unfortunately Tropicalcats has had a bad experience with them since then, so I don't want to recommend them. I see Paul's chrome advertise all the time. Anyone use him?

If you are looking into the repos, I can pull them out of the boxes and take some pics. I looked at them when I got them, and put them back in the boxes. They looked great. I got both drivers remote and the passenger side.

Mopardave is the rep for them, http://www.rosevillemoparts.com/

They are under the restoration section.
Tom :2thumbs:

I ordered them earlier, I had an original set to be painted but my body shop lost the drivers side...  They gave me 100 bucks for it(i paid that on ebay).

I thought it was.  I think that PG classics is the same $$$ and they make them.  Plus the 10% discount for CC.com members sealed the deal.  I bought some other stuff while i was there too.
