Atleast here in Finland the quadrajet itself is pretty cheap in local swap meets but what I've heard is that the jets cost lots of money. I know one guy who has bought like 10 cheap qjets from swap meets to get some different sized jets and spare parts.

Thanks for the info guys.  As for the carb, it is a double pumper, so I must have read the numbers wrong on the box.  I am out of town until the 30th, so when I get back home and get it on, I'll advise any problems.  I can and do a lot of wrenching on my car.  But carburetors for some reason always have a mystical thing about them that just scares the crap out of me.  Oh well, might as well get my feet wet and do this!
