What is the factory color for spark plug wires for a 73 340 engine

I am pretty positive that they were black with orange boots.  Other colors were not usually put on factory cars.

it could also be orange , I can`t remember exacty which  year they started with Orange

It might have been 73 that orange came out but not positive and I think it was also according to the factory that made them and which wires they had on the shelves when they built them.

I had a '73 Dart Sport 340 back in the day, and it came with orange wires.

I'm sure they were orange in 73. I put orange mopar ones on my 71 Challenger with electronic ignition but I know they are wrong and I will be switching them to black before spring.

FYI Last year I got the MP small block orange wires through Summit & found them to be ill fitting. Some wires were more than long enough while a few were way too short, Summit allowed credit for a set of black MSD's which are mostly too long.  I notice that they have an orange trim to fit set now.
