Nose cone and Superbird wing

I am working on a very unique project. I want to make a Cuda wing car. I am looking to buy a 71 Cuda for the transformation. My question is would I be better better to buy a Superbird cone and wing and cut it down to fit or have someone fabricate them off of the car?

Why would you need a 71 Barracuda to do such a transformation with 
If you are going to put a nose on one, the year would be erelevant and you would find a 72 73 or 74 Barracuda shell for much less money than you will a 71.  Where abouts are you located    I would have a rendition of the car drawn up before you even start.  I have seen some pictures of Barracudas on here just lately, and none of them look any good with a wing so far, just me talking. Their was a picture of a model with nose and a wing, he or someone else may pot it back up here for you.

I want either a 440 or a 440 6 pack. I already have a pic of what I have in mind about doing this. I have the guys I need to build it. I agree with you about the year but the 71 I have found is a nice looking car both inside and out.

This is a 71 Superbird based off of a Cuda. My version will not be called a Superbird but rather something else. Can't say what, yet. Hopefully my car will have a 440 + 6 through an automatic transmission.
I owned a couple of Superbirds back in the seventies when they weren't worth anywhere close to what they are now. I have always wanted to to do a Cuda with the cone and wing.

Does Not look like it is based off a Cuda but it is based off a Challenger body lines,  and has a M46 scope on side.  Has the 1970 road runner style tail lights.

Okay, you are right. I think it is really coool. I have a guy that will do the conversion for me in March. I need to find a Cuda to get this one done.
I am buying the molds so that I will be able to create the pieces for resale.

Why not take a satellite or something and make a superbird clone if you want a cheap way out to make a wing car? 

Plus, you dont see the '71 grill, the interiors are basically the same, all you would need to do is change the tailpanel to a '71.  I'd hate to see a '71 hacked into a wing car, sorry.

  Sorry but I don't like the idea of destroying a 71 cuda. Like was said before a 72-74 cuda is a lot cheaper and with what you are proposing other than the vin no one will no the difference.

   With the newer cuda or really a barracuda being done that way.  Looks pretty good that color also.  Kind of like the scopes mounted that way also.

I agree with you on using a 70/71 Cuda that would be sacred ground. I like the concept and I am going to do this but I will use 72-74 Cudas with the big block.

For what it's worth, I think it's a neat idea.  I agree with the others, though, about destroying a rare / pricey 71 in order to do this. If you actually have a line on a 71 in good shape and cheap, buy it, flip it to make money and put that money into a cheaper but just as nice 72-74 for your project.
