Since I take it you wont drive your car in the rain like me... cause I had a sudden downpour and traction is nothing and I blew right into the other lane with no control cruising at about 30 mph... b careful and always check weather report...

Since your washer bottle wont be of any use make it useful and Hook up your washer bottle to a tube and run it back to your rear tires an put a t fitting and split the tube to each tire mounted above the each tire and when you wanna smoke out the whole block put clorox in your washer bottle and hit the washer fluid button from in your car and it drenches your tires with clorox and dump the clutch

Like I said the tires you want are 55 series and 14.6 section width in a 14" tub... let us know how you make out............

Tire Section Width on 11" Wheel = Width*: 14.6''

*NOTE: Section width varies approximately 0.2'' (5mm) for every 0.5'' change in wheel width.

So, with a bit of luck it just may fit without modifications (if I read that correctly).

So you use a 10" wheel and it drops the section width down to 14.2 section width and will lose a little tread width also as the tire will curve alittle more...

So If they open up the tub the way I decribed you would need the tub opened up to 15"+ to give you the 1/2 minumum width needed on each side of the tire for rub issues...
 

If you really want a super huge tire in there wihtout cutting up th tub and will have a 12" tread width let me know.... it'll cost ya though....... ahhh nevermind you said you would let me stay at your house if I ever vacationed there.... free info. I guess

Thanks....I think I see your point. I have the largest cop rim size without going custom. I have the 15x10" with a 5-1/2" back spacing which I think is a good amount of BS. We will more than likely have to shorten the Dana which sucks as it's brand new but, we'll need to weld the XV L2 stuff to it anyhow. I think we'll need to shorten it to around 43-45"? Not sure but it will have to be done. Below is the wheel chart followed by what I'm going for (minus the louvers).

Carl - I looked into the Drag Radials from BFG as well. Apparently the sidewall is not stiff enough for the "kiwi" cornering you will most likely do. After all is that road to Waihi Beach still windy? I bought Dunlop GT Qualifiers as they are a soft tread and have a modern semi-sniped design tread pattern on them now. I will be running 275-60-15 on 8" Ramcharger steelies on back and 7" steelies and same brand in 235-60-15 on the front. But I realise you have way more HP to get to the road than me.

Hey Barry, thanks for the input bud. I'd love to keep the BFG 275/60 tires but with the hp and 5-Speed it's going to need more than that, much more. 345/55s are what I'll be going for but I do see your point. While I won't be cornering like I was driving a modern Falcon or sport scar I still don't won't to be limited to straight line roads and with these tires, hp and drivetrain I feel a medium will be reached where I can enjoy the car in any condition, strip or street.
