TTI Header Install *** UPDATED

Got bored and went out and put in the passengers side 2" primary Ceramic coated TTI Headers.....

All I can say is smooth fit.... only headache was the header bolt that goes right behind the #2 tube...  valve cover clearance is about an 1/8th...

plenty of clearance the wholeway around even thouh the pics dont show it..... gotta get my exhaust reworked though.......... Hopefully have no problems with the drivers side as I have to tilt the motor and starter headache

I installed tti's and had to drop the starter and  undo a motor mount to get the driver side on...hope you have better luck.

Great stuff.............. my TTIs went in from underneath without the torsion bars, starter and clutch cross shaft in. They virtually fell "up". Forgot to tell ya'all that I was using my new xmas present - a 4 post hoist They were a breeze. The headers are about 3/4" away from the steering box. Why the h#ll did my son's Hedmans not fit like this. We even bolted those suckers to the bench, heated them with a rosebud and bent the entire assembly towards the motor and those Hedman people swore black and blue they would fit as I was standing beside the car cursing them on my cellphone. Anyways you get what you pay for.

I have not had to replace a burnt plug wire since I installed these, in my mind, it was the best 1000.00 bucks I spent on the car. Period.

I put Thorleys on my 440 and they fit great.  The only Hookers I'll ever go back to won't be headers.

Just to alter the course of this thread slightly - I asked Doug's Headers if they would fit angle plug Indy EZ heads and they said most likely not. Firstly the headers look pretty good with the thick flanges and pipe shapes (maybe I am wrong here but just going from looks) and the second thought was that most of us now go for aftermarket heads with the angle plugs so why do they not do some research and make what the market wants. Hence my TTI's .... and definitely no regrets there as they are on the car now.
