Mailbox is now full?
« on: January 06, 2008 - 01:23:34 AM »
I have read from some members that they couldn't reach other members on a PM to them because it said their mailbox was too full.

Was there a change to how many messages you can have saved now? How many? I guess you could just start erasing messages left and right but would like to know what the maximum is.

I have 10 messages in my inbox and it says it is 50% full, so I'm guessing 20 or so msgs are the limit.   :dunno:

Mine says 75 messages at 375% full. Some I would like to keep. How much pruning. Or should I just get out the big chainsaw?

And I see others get the same problem now...

The limit is now 20. Admin/Ross lowered the limit as it takes so long to do the back up and takes space. I agree with him, but then again I delete all received and sent PMs as soon as possible but I also have OCD lol. If it's that important  send an email and/or copy and paste them to a document file such as Microsoft Word.

I didn't think I ever got a PM, but I had over 100.  Nothing important, so I just erased them all.  I didn't know about the change til today.

For what it's worth.. There is a "prune" option on the left when you look at your messages.  That can wipe out anything more than 2 weeks old.
