Hey Chunks, good to see you around again mate. Have you tried XVMotorsports?
They have plenty to do with the modern Hemi engines from exhausts to fuel supply.

One of the magazines just had an article about how XV had the best kit around.

Sure you can blow a ton of $$ on a kit, but the way I did it is going to be much cheaper.  I'm pretty sure I'm going to run about $2500-2800 for everything.  Thats including a used 5.7 motor.  But I'm doing all of the work myself also, that saves gobs of $$.   :swaying:

Hey Burpin,
I got my oil pan from Charlies (I don't have his number with me but can get it for you if needed). There is an entire list of things that you will need to make this work but one other major thing you will want to get is a new fuel tank with a internal fuel pump and you will also need some type of regulator valve. I used one from the new Corvettes that acts as a filter and regulator. It has a 5/16 line back to the tank and a 3/8 line to the motor.  Have Fun

Add these guys to the list. I don't think there is a one stop mail order shop for this conversion yet. XV will probably be the most hands on exprienced, but also the most expensive. I would really not recommend hotrodlane.cc (street and performance). I bought at least 15 grand worth of stuff for an LS1 conversion on a 57 chevy and we had to send alot back for incorrect parts, wrong year. I was trying to use them for one stop deal. Wiring harness, radiator, radiator support, motor mounts, headers, pulleys, compressors, fuel tank, fuel lines, etc. looks like they just resold alot of other peoples product. That's perfectly fine, I just figured they already had researched what fits with what. good quality product, just don't use them for technical knowledge.

Thanks guys this is all helping out great. I was going to use street and performance but I think I will back off that now.

So basically,

1 Motor (Im using the stock exhaust manifolds)
2 Wire Harness
3 Oil Pan
4 Motor Mounts
5 Fuel Tank with internal fuel pump
6 Regulator
7 Do I have run new fuel lines to the motor? Or just to the regulator and back to the tank?
8 now the computer - does the computer have to be reprogrammed and if so who does it?
9 what am I forgetting.

If you are using a manual transmission, you need a new computer.  This will run you about 7 benjamins.  Ouch, I know.  You need talk to Tony from that hotwireauto, he reflashes the manual computers for your needs.  Give him a call, he's friendly and will answer your questions.

Burpin is using his 4 speed. What is his number, and how much is it to have it reflashed? so im not forgetting anything. I hoping to get this done on a limited budget. Burpin lost his job last month and is using his last check to do this.

His number is right on the site, www.hotwireauto.com

I'm not going to be responsible for saying wether you're forgetting anything or not, I really dont know.  Talk to Tony, he'll probably help out.  This isnt a project to really do on a budget.  $100 here, $100 there, it adds up really fast.
