flmopars offered me a 383 long block $1000

"I HAVE A LONG BLOCK THAT HAS A
BLOCK,HEADS,CRANK,RODS,PISTON,AND ROCKERS FOR
$1,000.00 PLUS SHIPPING"

My response was that "unless it was rebuilt or a Magnum, price was high"!
(FYI I've been offered 3 complete 383 engines and 1 Magnum for $400-750 range)

FLMOPARS response was "Not Hardly keep on dreaming!!!! Thanks

As some of the other members have voiced THEY ARE DEFINITELY PRICED HIGH!

I got a matching 383 with trans and drive for 1000 delivered in a snow storm from 1200 miles away.  77 440 at an auction last month for 70 dollars.  72 440 for 600 running with tranny.  340 for 340 without the intake or oil pan.  Engines are quite cheap really.  Cars are the expensive part.

I have a '69 HP 383 shortblock that needs a rebuild that I'd sell for $100 if someone wants to come get it out of here (Livermore CA).

Hell, make me an interesting trade.

I bought 2 complete 68 383's from a wrecking yard a year ago for 150 bucks, one still had a 727 hooked to it.The only thing they were missing was the exhaust manifolds and both were standard bore.Be careful when you buy an engine without opening it up,you may be buying a .60 over boat anchor :scared:

If any of you guys have a decent 340 long block or complete motor or a 383 magnum to offer, please shoot me an email. I certainly trust any of the seasoned members on this board to be straight up than anyone on ebay or craigslist offering me a motor!
