Were there export E-bodies converted to right hand drive?

Just a weird question.... thanks in advance for any replies! 

I noticed that the Australian movie "Fast Lane Fever" has a right hand drive '70 Challenger in it.  It got me thinking if it was converted over there or was it done in the U.S. before it was exported?

Has anyone seen other right hand drive E-Bodies, or any RHD Mopars?

Typically they were converted to RHD on the other end (England, Australia, etc.).  Here's a friend's Daytona. Sorry the pic isn't that great.

Them down unders has to have the wheel in the rigth side, since the drive up side down, it all sums up..

They did get converted over here in the old days.  Do not have to do a conversion on a 30+ year old car now as it can be registered in left hook.  I have a buddy of mine that has been doing Mopar conversions for several years.  Every thing is pretty straight forward, they even have moulds made by hand to make new right hand dash pads.  Look so real you would swear that they are factory.

While I was in england I did not see any E-Bodies. I was there for 5 years and I looked.  It would have been good to see one because at that time I did not have one.  The only time I got to see any was when I went home.  There were a lot around where i grew up.

Hmmm. I think one of our members, Dave-R, is from England, but I think his is still LHD....I think....

I'm not a fan of converting these cars to RHD, ruins the cars IMO. It's their history. They're LHD American muscle cars and are best left that way, that's my opinion anyhow but it's one shared in the hobby down under. I actually prefer LHD and it's amazing the amount of times I hear "Cool! LHD as well". It catches me by surprise all the time, "Huh, oh yeah, LHD".

Just don't see LHDs often, if at all on the roads so it's cool to have in this RHD infested part of the world. I think it's as safe to drive and is second nature after a couple of days or driving, can hit a dime with the wheel like I can with a RHD car. Overtaking is fine as well. Only problem is you have to have someone with you if you go through the drive thru LOL Small, small price to pay really.

I think you Aussie's, if you go LHD, would need the car to be with the bench seat..

  You should see when you get pulled over by the law in a left hook car here in Australia and your buddy is drinking with a can in his hand and the officer walks up to the right hand side and thinks the driver is drinking Starts going crazy  and the Sargent says "He's not the driver, look where the wheel is Constubal".

I've done that like twice. When I got Lucy, my first American car. All you do is just make out you're checking the glovebox, nod your head to show "yep, it's in there, cool" close the door and casual got to the correct side lol
