what kind of ID tag is this?

Hey all I found this ID tag on a ring connected to the back springs of my rear seat.
It is a black metal stamped tag that is 4" by 1".  it has 2 stamped lines.  
First reads    2858874-k
Second reads  LS1-UC-C94-8-2

Any info would be greatly appericated.

Sorry mate but I myself don't have a clue, hopefully someone will know because I'm interested as to what it is also.  

These come to mind as I doubt very much it will have anything major to do with the car: Part numbers or Plant and production dates. Or just a pile of numbers lol!!!

Hey fly... the first line would be the Part Number for your rear seat... most part numbers are 7-9 digits long and are found EVERYWHERE on your car...

As far as that 2nd line... no clue!! Sorry bud!

Lemon, thanks for the lowdown.  I have since noticed many more metal "part" tag's all around my barracuda.
BTW I've got some new pictures I've taken, with my new hood (painted) Where should I post um?

(did you mean where like which fourm?? or how?? where post them in off topic or pictures or in this one i don't think anyone will care as long as we get to see your car and if you do post them in the wrong spot we have great people like rev and lb that will take care of it    hope you enjoy this site as much as i do
