muscle? Was it your Dad? Was it the names of the cars.
paint,looks,engine combo's...etc. etc. etc

My dad was and is still a used car dealer.  He is mostly into Fords and Chevys.  (I forgive him)!
I just always liked the look of the Mopars at first, and the fact that they aren't all over the place.
After I bought my first Mopar I was hooked for life!
My first real car was a  70 LS5 Elcamino with the Cowl induction.  It was fast and fun, but the day I bought my Coronet R/T, Chevy was a thing of the past!!
What can you say about an origional unrestored R/T going out to the drags and pullin a 13.62 @ 107 on street tires with 3:23 gears?  Nuff said. ;)

What got me into Mopars was the fact that everybody else had Fords and Chevys. 8)

well heres my story:
I was born in 1970,so i missed the muscle car era.
My first taste of Ma MoPar was when i was 6,or 7.
I guy in town had this car,and when he'd see me playing
on our front sidewalk he'd beep his horn as he drove by.
Well that was the coolest horn i'd ever heard, and one day me and my mom walked to the local ma and pops store, who do you thinks parked out front bullsh!tting with the local's?Thats right the guy with the horn! Then my mom starts talking to this guy,and i'm thinking whats going on?So he calls me over, and talked to me about something(can't recall),as we started to leave he asked me if i wanted to push the horn.
BEEP-BEEP  BEEP-BEEP
I thought i was the coolest kid in town!!! Later i learned the guy is my godparents son,and the car was a 1971  Roadrunner. That memory is still with me,and it set the stage for me being a MoPar lover.Funny how the smallest things like a cool sounding horn can change a 6 or 7 year olds life...
Well thats it, hope i did'nt bore the pants off of you guys?

Well for me, as a kid I would build plastic models and just loved muscle cars. As I walked to elementary school, I would see this guys Blue 70 Superbird parked in the driveway!!!  :o

I dreamed of owning a car just like that someday!  8)

Also, my Dad owned a 67 Dodge Polara Station wagon. Then in 73 he traded it in for a 73 Dart Swinger, 318/2 auto. I really liked the look of that car, especially when I would go to the Drags and see Wild Bill Shrewsberry's tigerstriped 70 Dart
Wheelstander!!!  ;) Course the new model kits coming out over those years were awesome too! Remember the 1/16 scale Funny Cars and Dragsters from Revell? ;D. My Dad then sold the Swinger for a Plymouth Volare. I was annoyed as he test drove a Sattelite Sebring (can't remember the year of it.)  but he bought the Volare instead. >:( So I vowed to buy a Mopar muscle car one day. The 74 Duster was what I could manage at the time (1981). Still have it.

I was into cars from about the time I learned to walk & was always drawn to the feel of high HP when it just pounds against your body, but I wasn`t really brand loyal until after high school. I`d only had my licence about a year & had owned 3 off brand cars & they spent more time broke & being worked on than driven & my Bowtie had let me down yet again.  >:( There was a 7 year old 70 Challenger R/T 440 4spd for sale 2 blocks away so I walked over & asked how much & we struck a deal for $1200 with a complete spare drivetrain  :o. I only owned that car for 1 year but I never had to fix it & rebuilt a lot of it just to improve performance, it was awesome, better fuel milage than my 283 chev & way more power to boot + it handled!!   I learned a lot about the superior engineering & QUALITY of the Mopar musclecars while I had that Challenger & have never looked back since!! I have gone on to own over 50 Mopars & have never had a lemon, except for the front drivers, they all have awesome reliability & power & excellent gas mileage even from 550 hp engines.
In a nut shell the Only thing that kept me buying & building Mopars is the SUPERIOR QUALITY & SUPERIOR ENGINEERING. :o ;D 8)

Chryco.....that's 2 and half MOPARs per year since you were 20.....that's a hell of a lot of cars!  I kind of get attached to my work and never want to let go...obviously you are different.  Let me ask you this....of all those MOPARs you sold....which one do you most wish you had back?

8) In Junior High, some kid got dropped off everyday in a '70, B5-Blue Cuda with Cragar SS wheels. That thing was awsome.
From that point on, I knew my first car would be a CUDA or
Challenger. The Challenger won, and I've owned 4 total. Still
have two,a '73 and a '70 'vert.
Also, the original Vanishing Point movie.
 ;)

A big influence, would have to be my father. And the 71 Demon with a 383 for horse power. And my uncle who gave me my first Mopar. The 1970 BARRAcuda, i still currently have.
And i have always loved the way the 426 hemi sounds. It is a great feeling. Can't forget about the mopar drag nationals at Firebird raceway. And the biggest influence would be the one time i rode in a 1970 superbird equiped with a 440-6 pak. To bad it wasn't a hemi.

My mother was always into fast cars; she had a '68 Firebird she'd race the cops with.

When I married my ex-husband, he'd wreck a car a year.  So I owned quite a few cars.  :(

Then I met my current hubby and he was into Mopars.  I don't think I'd ever had a big block til then. ;)
