1972 Cuda Dragcar Fresh out of the chassis shop
« on: January 11, 2008 - 12:14:00 AM »
'72 Plymouth Cuda Turnkey Drag Car. Car was completed at chassis shop 3-01-07. Everything in and on the car is NEW. All the car needs is a paint job and its finished.

Body:

Body is in very good condition. Paint on rear half, the red, is descent but the car needs a new paint job. Everything else is new.
Front clip is a new one piece nose and hood. All is zeus fastened. Has a fiberglass '70 Cuda grille molded. The chassis shop mounted real headlights in the frontend and looks great. Car comes with a couple hoods. The one on the car is a 4" cowl.
Fiberglass trunk lid with A.R.T. aluminum fuel door
Suspension:

QA1 adjustable coil-overs with ladder bars in the rear.
QA1 adjustable race shocks in the front.
Car is fully back halfed - tubbed and will hold a 33x16 tire. Has 29.5x11.5 slicks on it now because I like small tire cars.
Chassis was built at a professional chassis shop.
8-3/4 with Strange 35 spline axles and spool 4.88 gear.
Interior:

All aluminum interior NEW with aluminum dash and all Auto Meter guages
Two aluminum Kirkey race seats with 5 point belts
Turbo Action Cheetah shifter with air shifter
All electronics on a hide a way panel that swings under the dash
14pt cage that goes out through the firewall to tie the shock towers
Wheels/Tires

All Brand NEW wheels and tires
Weld 2.0 Aluma Star front = $850 alone
Weld ProStar 15x12 rear. Car will hold up to a 33x16" wide rear wheel
29.5x11.5 Phenoix slicks rear. I like the 10.5 Outlaw look
28x4 Moroso DS2 front tires
Fuel System:

5gal aluminum fuel cell in rear under fuel door.
Holley BLACK alcohol fuel pump
Edelbrock billet alcohol regulator
Custom 750 QuickFuel alcohol carb-Awsome carburetor
1/2" Wilson Manifold spacer
ALL braided fuel line 1/2"
Engine:

.030 340 on ALCOHOL
Edelbrock aluminum heads
Crane gold roller rockers
Edelbrock Super Victor Intake
SheetMetal valve covers

Comp Valve springs
Comp SOLID ROLLER cam
.638 lift and .278 duration @.050
Comp 828 Roller lifters
12.5:1 Domed forged pistons

New Mopar I beam rods
All FelPro gaskets
Hooker 1-3/4 Super Comp headers
Transmission:

PTC 727 with Pro Transbrake
8" Turbo Action converter XXSM46 = 5600 stall
E.T.

CAR RUNS 6.70'S IN THE 1/8TH
1.42-1.44 60FT TIMES shifting at 6000
LEAVES WITH THE WHEELS IN THE AIR
Lots more. Im sure I left tons out.

Did you list it on Moparts.com? It would sell good on e-bay too!

Its only listed on here. Dont REALLY want to sell it. I love the E body Cuda dragcars. If it sells I would build a tube chassis Cuda. Have two more bodies.

In all honesty, I had it sold on Moparts. When it came time to ACTUALLY SELL, I backed out. The guy was very understanding. It had just came out of the chassis shop and we are building a house. I thought I needed to sell it for the storage room and just build another one later. Well, it was harder to part with than I thought.  :dunno:

Easier said than done. I backed out of a deal last month on my Cuda.

Hey man. Nice looking Barracuda. Where are you located in Alabama. Would like to take a look at your car. My name is Michael Steele and I own and operated a chassis shop (HEADS UP CHASSIS) 20 miles north of Milton, Florida. Or, I am about 15 miles south of Brewton Alabama. I have several Mopars and would like to Pro Street an E body Barracuda. I need a candidate (Body) to do so. Know where I could get my hands on an E body Barracuda to Pro Street? Does not have to be in great condition.

Thanks,

Michael Steele @ HEADS UP CHASSIS

I have a bickel prostock molly tube chassis assembly with strange strut front and dana 60 rear I might consider trading. It was for my 72 cuda. It is a big block set up.
