Mini tubbed and wanting 3inch tailpipes

I am wanting to run the 3 inch exhaust out the back to the tips. My problem is since my car is mini tubbed and springs moved in it is very tight around the gas tank and rearend. Has anyone got any ideas or pics of one done?

May not be your cup of tea but...

My tank was rusty.  I went with a similiar size fuel cell from RCI mounted under the truck floor.  It is a little narrower, and affords plenty of clearance.   I am not currently mini-tubbed but there appears to be room for a regular size muffler to fit between cell and leaf springs.

My body guy is finishing up a 71 Cuda that he has built from the ground up, and used a 3" exhaust, but instead of using regular mufflers, he used some kind that actually mount inside the exhaust pipe.  I believe he had them tacked in just before the turn up over the rear end, so all that runs out the back is the pipe itself.  His only problem is that he has to fab up the box tips out the back, because he couldn't use the ones he had.  He got this idea from the Sprint car that he runs.  If you think this might work for you let me know and I can try to find out what mufflers he used.

My mufflers are before the rearend (under the back seat). All I have to do is fit the 3 inch pipe...I would like to keep my stock tank at this point in time.
