Has anyone else ever seen one of these events in person?

Nope, not Monster Trucks.

Dirt track racing though? Yep. Expect dirt in your hair clear down to your skivvies.

Let me look for pics.............

Now thats what I'm talkin' about!  Late models are the shiznit!  Love sprints too.  Sure Miss my old hobbie car.  Out there on the track is an experience I think all racing enthusiasts (drag, or otherwise) should encounter.  After driving, It's funny listening to people in the grandstands say "He should have went on the inside, or he should have done this or that instead."  Grandstand driving is easy, its a totally different world out there on the track, thats for sure. Never been to a monster truck rally.  All the daughters and the wife like em so I'll probably end up at one sooner or later.  Never cared for 'em but, its a lot of horsepower so it can't be all that bad...lol

Monster truck shows are awesome. If it's indoors take ear plugs though.

ROFL jacksboys, I was guessing you went on a date.   :poopoke: :poopoke:  :roflsmiley:

I've always wanted to go.  They have them at the Metrodome 3-4 times a year, seats are like $10.

Dirt track racing is a few miles from my house, every weekend all summer we hear races.  They will get in either Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, or Junior to visit each year.  Huge fireworks show on the 4th, too.  I really should go more often, but it gets pretty dang expensive.  They just put a huge indoor motocross arena right next to it, too.

I've been to both the Monster trucks and the tractor pulls indoors. It's loud and something usually gets torn up!!  :burnout:

I went twice at the Super Dome in New Orleans.  It was awesome.  Pure testosterone indoors with the noise and smell of methane.  Big stadiums are the best!  :2thumbs:

Looks like a good time. I took my son to one years ago. It was fun until the big cloud of exhaust fumes dropped. :scared: Great pics of dirt tracking, too. I went to a lot of sprint car races when I worked for Bobby Allen. Good times.

I never personally, but my brother in law did and said it was very cool....and loud!  With something like this you don't need front row seats so it'll save you the bucks.

Closest thing I do have this that is radio control though.
