master cylinder lines
« on: January 13, 2008 - 12:36:46 PM »
When I replace the lines from the master clylinder to a line lock is it important to have the circle bends in them? Want purpose do they serve and how do I make them look right?   :clueless:

That's a great question.   :grinyes:

I often wondered about those loops. They must serve a purpose, but there has to be some kind of machine or tool that does the bends right. That is some small line we are talking about. Don't want to kink it.

Yeah I have a cheap bender that works making small bends but not a circle. Seems like every car has the circle bends so must be something to it.

I `ve been wondering what the loops are for too.  The only thing I can come up with is they are there to make sure the lines will never be stressed with heat or cold...
I think a simple way to make the loops would be to take a piece of pipe and roll them around.

I believe the loops absorb vibration to prevent cracking in the lines

:iagree:  The vibration issue is what I've always heard as well.

well now, how do I bend them without kinking the line?   :clueless:  I also think it makes a more professional looking setup.
