Alan,

I'm a permanent resident. Any news on a 426 block?   :poopoke:

Seriously, this is quite nice of you. Now get your butt to Carlisle so we can not only meet you, but thank you.  :grinyes:

I know I'm only 52 (this leap year)  But the work I did in the swamps in the south, had my back broke, fractured neck, both arms dislocated, right foot broke, right wrist broke, right hand crushed in a mine accident 3 yrs ago, my body hurts every minute every day.  I want to just slow down the pace and maybe sell some parts.  I have been here in Ca, now for 9 days and already mis being home. I am here till feb 3. Got parts to ship to members now that are waiting.  Age doesn't make you old, the work you have done will though. Oil field work for 12 yrs really hit me hard. Time to relax and enjoy.

Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

After listening to the politicians next door in New Hampshire for the last several weeks, you have no idea how much your gesture resonates.  It is so easy to be cynical as we pound away day after day in whatever our daily challenges are.....

Your generosity is telling of your character -- thanks!

I was thinking about taking 2 weeks off for the 4th of July holidays. Or sometimes I get a job out in that area. Here lately I have been stuck on the west coast. These plants are now calling my office and asking for me in particular and it keeps me hopping.  I was wondering if all 6bbl's would do ok driving the car all the way there. It all seems to be running good and not overheating.  If I can make it, It will be the first show I ever went to :2thumbs:

It would be fun to bring my race car there, do they have a drag strip?  I could let members do some time trials but no wide opens, I think you can run a 10 or 11 without a license, mine goes 7's so I could throttle stop it. Think the members would love some 1.17 60's?  I may end up putting the engine, trans and rear in cuda guys car to race stroker , but have to change the intake and go back to 116 octaine. It gets boreing by myself all the time. I think I am going to fly my wife out here next week or 2. She's doing taxes for all the family right now. I was going to drive over to Vegas, but even that gets boreing if you dont care about gambling. Fuel is free in my company truck, so I can go anywhere. I was thinking about riding over to Bakersfield and looking at the challenger a member here had 4 sale to give more opinions for him and everyone else.

Alan,  I'm 51 so I know where your coming from about getting older. I take it a little slower now days and the hobby helps me keep young. You are indeed a 1 of kind stand up man and there are not many like you out there. I hope to meet you someday but I don't think I'll be at Carlisle as it is a 13 hour drive from southern IL. I and other members will be at Mopar Nationals and I'm sure lots of us would love to meet you and thank you in person for helping members out in this way.
