June 1973 I graduated high school on the 17th and bought my first 1967 GTX before the month ended. Bone stock original(for about 3 months) then the usual stuff until it went from street to strip and then back to street. Sold it in 1980.
I miss that car.

Man, I always liked the body styling and the roof lines of the '67 GTX's.  Plus yours is the "correct" color!!!   :woo:

I have to take pics of pics with the digital camera because all the old pics I hav were before I knew what a digital was, LOL. My first was a nice dart when I was 15 (1995) and then a 71 Charger SE, no pics. Then a 74 Chally when I was 16 (trying to upload that one).
Then I lucked onto a 43,000 mile grandma owned 73 Duster. My wife and I met when I had this one and ironically my parents first car together was a Duster. Must be Genetic???
Here is the Duster, Can anyone guess what brdge that is in the background?

Yep, thats a nice looking Duster you have and I love that color!!!!  I have no idea about that bridge.

Cool pics and stories. I dont have any pics of my first Mopar but I can describe it. I was 15 and it was my first car. My dad bought it in 1985 for 200 bucks. 1975 Chrysler Cordoba. It was ordered by the original owner. Red with white top and white leather interior. Slapstick console with rallye dash. HP 400 with dual exhaust and no cats from the factory. 3.21 sure grip 9.25 rear. It was a loaded car and ran really good for such a big car. I did what a lot of kids do when they get their first car, I thrashed it. My brother in law had just got his red 71 'Cuda and always made fun of the car, calling it the Cordoberman lol. I sure wish I had that car back as it was pretty rare the way it was optioned out.

The bridge is the Coronado Bay bridgae in San Diego. Just thought someone may know it.
That GTX is very cool. I have a buddy that has a gold 67 GTX. I guess they are pretty rare being a first year GTX.

cant show any pics, in fact i doubt i ever took any. i was 13, and me and my pop found a '69 383 charger for 200 bucks. he bought it for me with the intentions of teaching me proper mechanics and responsibility. sounds good. only stipulation was i had to maintain passing grades in school. long story short, about 80 hours of body and mechanical work, she was straight, ran awesome, and looked cool. i was all full of myself, TILL.....

i came home from school one day to see an empty hole in the street where my prized true love usualy residede.
some prank must be set on me i wondered. pop came out and watched me standidng there dumbfounded, held up my errant report card and chuckled. i didnt hold up my end of the deal, i failed, well actually got a f+ in one course hehe. but he help up his end and sold her.

lesson learned from then on

never let pop hold title!!!

i later, in the 80's gave my brother in law a 72 rallye to drive, and prize, if he'd only stay clean and sober, return to the last story, he couldnt do it, it got yanked from him.

I grew up with Mopars with my Dad buying a Rambler station wagon, a mid 60's Fury III and then a Dodge Polara.  Oddly enough, after buying Ford/Chevy trucks and rice burners, the first Mopar I bought was this 70 Charger 500 back in 2002.  The body was in fair-good shape, but everything else needed to be restored.
