My 1st MOPAR. This picture was taken the day I brought it home, October 26, 1972.  The 1965 Chrysler Newport in the street will become mine 2 years later in 1974.  This picture shows the old license plate from 1971 with a '72 tab in the lower right corner.  I had just finished washing the Cuda, and was drying it off.

My parent's friend had this parked behind one of his sheds for MANY years.  It used to be his son's first car, but he abandoned it once he joined the Navy and moved out to the east coast.  It was just a 318/904 car, but it was really fun getting it running & driving again.  It had a bad ballast resistor that I never fixed 'cause one of the former owner's friends decided to show him how to bypass that by cutting a bunch of wires under the hood and hot-wiring it (apparently they were sitting in the school parking lot when it wouldn't fire, so they did that).  I found it back when I was either 12 or 13 and had it purchased by 14.

I forgot to mention it took us about 2 hours to get it moved from its former resting spot.  I actually was cutting down 3-4 diameter trees to make a nice enough trail to tow it out of. :eek7:  Oh, and we had a fun time getting the car high enough to put my roller wheels on it as all four tires were really flat and the rims were about 1/2 way into the ground. :-\
The first photo is shortly after I had it towed into our field and the second is the first time I had it fired up...That was quite the experience with the carbon fireball I shot out the back. :misbehaving:

I have to take pics of pics with the digital camera because all the old pics I hav were before I knew what a digital was, LOL. My first was a nice dart when I was 15 (1995) and then a 71 Charger SE, no pics. Then a 74 Chally when I was 16 (trying to upload that one).
Then I lucked onto a 43,000 mile grandma owned 73 Duster. My wife and I met when I had this one and ironically my parents first car together was a Duster. Must be Genetic???
Here is the Duster, Can anyone guess what brdge that is in the background?

Here is one of the Challenger circa 1997. I was 17. Nice straight car that I had no reason to git rid of it besides the fact that I had bought the Duster and had two Mopars. I guess I didn't think I needed two???

June 1973 I graduated high school on the 17th and bought my first 1967 GTX before the month ended. Bone stock original(for about 3 months) then the usual stuff until it went from street to strip and then back to street. Sold it in 1980.
I miss that car.
