Is this a "Music Master AM Radio" ?
« on: January 14, 2008 - 11:11:55 PM »
The fender tag says that my car is supposed to have a "Music Master Radio AM." I bought this 18 years ago from a junkyard. Is it a MMRAM ?

I bench tested it. It does work, but sounds horrible.

Sure looks like the POS in NIKKI! To say it sounds horrible is an understatement. Fortunately I can't hear mine unless the key is in the off position!  :grinyes:

That's an E-Body radio.  :grinyes:  I wasn't sure what it was called.

I would trade you I have one that says Dodge on the front.
Got a pretty good start on my M46 optioned Barracuda restoration but now it is on hold till I can gather more funds.  Still need a few parts for it.  SIU Graduate 75 AAS Automotive Tech, 94 BS Advanced Tech Studies, 1997 MSED Workforce Education and Development

Yes, they never sounded great but you may need to trim the antennae. That screw is on the bottom near the antennae jack. Here is the short version of trimming from my service manual. Let the radio run for a five minutes, tune to a weak station between 1400 and 1600 KHZ, turn the treble tone fully clockwise and turn the trim screw back and forth to find the best reception.
Hope that helps. :2thumbs:
