using an A body rear in an Ebody?

I posted previously about alternate rears, but here is a semi-related question.
The B body rear seems to be the desireable rear for an Ebody. I plan on ditching the leaf springs and using some type of coilover or Air Ride type suspension along with aftermarket axles and disc brakes. Is there any benefit to paying a slight premium for a B body 8.75 versus an Ebody that may be more plentiful? What about the many A body rears out there? I will have to source my own brakes anyway, weld new mounts for the coilovers, and the axles will be whatever pattern I pick. Again, just fishing for ideas.

the B body diff should be cheaper than the E body , the 66 -70 B body is slightly narrower as well , there are only 5 Mopar diffs , the 7 1/4, 8 1/4, 8 3/4 , 9 1/4 & the 9 3/4 dana , the A body only used the 8 3/4 in the 4 " bolt pattern
 the 2 strongest diffs are the 8 3/4 & Dana

I know the a body is a 4 inch bolt circle, but if I plan on getting new axles anyway I can get the correct bolt pattern. I was just thinking if I came across a complete A body rear for $50 it would be useable. I assumed I may find a deal on someone swapping their ebody for a b body rear, but maybe not.

 I believe it wil be too narrow in an E body

A body 8 3/8 housings are hard to find and expensive. The work very good for "pro streeting" an E body or B body. With the right wheel off set and moving the leaf springs in,you can "pro street" an E body with a B body housing. I have a B body on the back of mine. :cheers:

I`ll take all the a-body 8 3/4 rears you can find fro $50 as I`ve been seeing them go for $500-700+ complete lately
