 Thanks for the offers guy's
I'm guessing the contours of the Cuda roof will be a bit off from my Challenger, but I thank you anyways
I guess I'm still up in the air as to what to do  :dunno:

Hey mopardave, that would be cool to see some additional pics, if it's not too much trouble  :2thumbs:

The front 2/3rd's of a Cuda roof are the same as a Challenger roof.  They use the same windsheild and the same front half of the drip rail moldings.  They change when the roof reaches the rear quarter window area.  I have used the front half of a Cuda roof on a Challenger and visa-vera.

remember too that the challenger is 3 inches longer than the cuda. 1/4 and rear windows are not interchangable, only windshield and door glass. stitch welding vs. plug welding and panel bonder?? I would put a roof skin on.

I will try to pop the top on a crate later today and post some pics...

Dave I agree with you.  I would use a new roof if I needed one.  I posted what is the same in case someone needed to use a front edge framing or sides etc.  under the new skin.

I finally have my old roof removed. I laid the new one on to check for any modifications i will need to do. I still have a little drip rail repair to do before i can finish the roof.  :clueless: what i am finding is thtere is not quite enough  lip down the sides that lay in the drip rail. Everywhere else looks great, just those blasted sides.  :pullinghair: Any suggestions. Maybe waiting for a warmer day, the skin may lay a little flatter or i might be able to stretch a bit more to the sides, i don't know. :dunno: May have to use adhesive down the sides or weld edges.

Great Fit!!!! Challengercrazy, i posted a response in your post about that lip. remember it gets a layer of caulk in there, which will hide your welds.  :blah:

What is the distance between the raised part of the roof edge to the outer edge of the roof frame?  My factory one is 5/8.  I was wondering if the replacement roof would give more of a gap between the drip rail moldings and the roof.

I will measure it when i get a chance. Having a narrow lip won't matter too much, it is getting it to lay flat in the drip rail is my concern.

From the looks of your pics it would give you a wide lip.
