That long away from home will be difficult and lonely at times. But your sure to make some new friends too. Make the best of it and don't forget to bring some Mopar mags to read while you're there.
Good Luck Gordon.

Thanks and that is true.  Going to try to take a few mags with me to get my brain thinking on restoration.  I know it will be hard at times but just focus on the job at hand and like you said to make new friends.  1 year is not very much  to deal with.  Time will go by very fast.  Gordon

Two weeks into training.  I like it to this point.  Just two weeks left of training.  I can hardly wait to get started on the job.  I know the year will go quickly and I will be back home before you know it.  Gordon

My wife will be coming to see me next weekend so I can hardly wait to see her.  Most likely be at least 6 months or so before I get to see her again.  Take care and please keep me in your prayers.

Look like this?

Looks bigger than the old 5 tons I used to work on. The vehicles in the Military sure have come a long way.

Gordon, not to get off topic, but have you ever seen a HET? I can't remember the Military #. Worked on them too.

No I have not seen one of them yet.  No telling what I will see after I get over there.

If you run into one over there, you won't miss it. They're huge.

Three weeks down and only 5 days to go.  We will be going to the CRC and then over to Iraq.  The training was good to this point and now ready to start the job.  I know it will get lonely at times but working all the time the time will go by quickly.  My wife and kids came down this weekend.  May not get to see them for a while.  Going to see about taking a vacation in about 6 months and see them then.  I hope I can still get access to the internet over there but may only get it some times.  They are working to get it for us also and I hope they get it soon.  Seems things change everyday.  Take care and talk to you later.

I would like everyone to keep me and my wife in your prayers..  I know it will be hard on my wife with the kids but she will have some help from friends and from the church.  I hope I can keep in touch with everyone while gone.   May not be able to as much but I will miss you guys for sure.  Take care and I will try to keep safe.
