Hey guy's, My names Chris. I'm brand new here! I'm into all sorts of muscle car's, I have a Z28 Camaro right now and a 03 Hemi 4x4 Ram. Ive always liked MOPAR muscle cars, but I always found the chevy counterparts [and certain optioned fords..] a lot cheaper.. HOWEVER.. I did find this car
http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com/details.php?adId=89367566
and it struck me as pretty cheap, for having just been restored.. having a 4 speed and a 440. What kind of power does a 440 put out [I can find the 'stock ratings.. but realistically.. I know a lot of the chevy muscle cars were under-rated]. Is this about the right price? or does it seem to good to be true to anyone else?. What kinds of upgrades do 440's respond most to? All of my knowledge is about SBC's, Ive never worked on a Dodge BB. Thanks a ton! and I have to say, I LOVE a lot of your guys cars.

Chris,

A quote from the ad;

Luedtke Auto Group
CALL TOLL FREE:  (877) 279-1202
185 West Grand Ave
Lake Villa, IL 60046

That outfit is scum, they have the absolute worst reputation of any used car dealer known.

Go to www.dodgecharger.com and search for HLPG (AKA Hell-Pig) and Luedtke - several folks on the site got burned and badly by dealing with them.

Now with that out of the way, welcome to the site.  :wave:

Whats the average price for a 1970-1971 Challenger or Cuda? I'd really prefer a 4 speed and at least a 340.. but if it's cheap enough, I would consider a 318 car and just transplant something into it. My uncle used to have an AAR Cuda, so if I get one I might clone it into that... I loved that car.. and he sold it for next to nothing when I was REALLY young.

Welcome to the site Sunny. I would start checking out the cars for sale here and even consider a 318 car as you can always up the engine size.

Hey Sunny, welcome to the site where the people treat you like family.  What year is your 'Z' ?  My high school friend had a brand new '73 Z back in the day.  It was white with black stripes, a sweet looking car, eventhough it wasn't a Mopar.  Hope you find your project car soon.
