Snow in Georgia????
« on: January 17, 2008 - 01:37:38 AM »
I know that all of you up north will think this is nothing, but Georgia does not get snow every winter, so it is nice to see a little this year.  Here are two pics:

Nice to see a little snow down GA. way but from what I've seen you guys could use alot more snow and rain to ease your drought situation. I've seen some pictures of a lake down there somewhere, where the boat ramp was about 30 feet away from the water.

Yea, we got a foot of snow a few days ago.
It is nice to see it, how it clings to the trees.......kind of makes everything more peaceful...... except the jack@ss drivers in New England  :swear:
Hope you get a lot more down there in Georgia  :bricks1: ......... :lol2:

Ha, ha, ha!

My daughter has just been sent to Eastaboga Georgia (wherever that is!).  Before she went she was giving me a bad time about being stuck here in the cold, cold north.

Well, missy, I hope you packed your longjohns!!!!!

It was nice to look at, but it is all gone now.  It was washed away by a nasty, cold rain today.   Today is just raw....     :hyper:

It's cool to have a little snow every couple of years or so. I feel for those that have to live with it all winter long though. :sadwavey:

No snow here in southern IL. but the cold is moving in and the high Saturday is only 19 degrees. Way to cold for me so I'm planing a trip to Cancun, Mexico soon.

What part of GA?  (Or did I miss that?)

I used to live in Augusta - there was a big blizzard around 2001/2002 - by big blizzard of course I mean like 4 inches.  There were thirty-something deaths following that storm.  People down there just have no idea how to drive in that stuff.
