Restored Dash Dimmer Switches
« on: January 18, 2008 - 08:56:11 PM »
This offering is for C-C.com existing members only, who are registered before the time stamp of this posting. This is my attempt to offer a restored part at a fair price to help the members in need of this part. I only ask that this part will be installed in your car and not resold.

I have restored these e body dimmers by disassembling, cleaning, glass beading and polishing the metal parts. After a long search, I was able to find a supplier that helped me produce an exact custom made stainless steel resistor coil in diameter, gauge, gapping and taper. The old resistor coil is removed and the new one installed. Each unit is reassembled and tested under a load.

Here is one that just sold on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=016&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=260203016217&rd=1

If you are not satisfied with my work, you can return it and I will refund your purchase price. If you want one, (one per person please) send me a PM.

Slotts your dimmer switches look great and as soon as I figure out if the switch is why my dome light will not turn on I'll pick one of these up from you.

Guys, Don't let this opportunity pass you by as I know many of you could use one of these.
Most of the NOS pieces I've seen have gone for more than double the cost & Slotts Stainless
restister is surely better than OE..

Paypal just sent. Please read the attached note too. Now you have to edit the quantity left. What a spending day, just bought one of those 5v solid state limiters for the gauges too. On-line shopping when home sick...geez, I gotta get better and back to work before I go broke. Thanks again, can't wait to see the difference.
