About Our Company
Alabama Converter Corporation was incorporated in Alabama on October 1, 1976. At that time the Corporation's primary business was the rebuilding of automotive torque converters. In 1990 Alabama Converter Corporation became a pioneer in the market by putting a quality, low cost converter for the average street car within reach of everyone. Prior to this, the only people that could afford a performance converter were people with deep pockets or sponsors. Over the years, Alabama Converter Corporation has invested its resources in two other auto parts businesses that have become very successful. Alabama Converter Corporation is proud to have made investments in helping to educate numerous individuals as well as as contributing to institutions of higher learning. Management is especially thankful to God for His guidance and material blessings.
In 1994 Alabama Converter Corporation diversified and began a custom steel fabrication division. The new division grew rapidly.
In 1997 the torque converter division was sold to Automotive Global Technologies LTD of Reno, Nevada. The new owner renamed the newly purchased company, ACC Performance and moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama. It is still a thriving business.
Alabama Converter Corporation has continued to grow by giving attention to honesty, quality, fair pricing, quick delivery and problem solving.
