The 1969 W23 Recall Wheels
« on: January 19, 2008 - 11:44:41 PM »
Someone was asking about these not too long ago, so I dug this out of my collection and scanned it. It is the earliest reference I have found so far to the wheels having issues;

This pic is supposed to be of a reproduction of the W23 wheel on a car.

I got 9 months to go, but I go on leave here in about 3 months to see my wife graduate Austin Peay University!  We are very excited about her accomplishment.  Anything new/unique in the Trans-am world?  If you want to reply in a PM that is cool I dont want to Hi-Jack this thread.

I have seen somewhere a picture of a set of these recall wheels on a Dodge Challenger and they really suited it.  They would of been factory standard on Dodge and Plymouth cars into the 70's if they were not recalled................. :thinkerg:

I wonder if anyone has the car in amongst their reference pictures................. :1zhelp:

 :wow:  I like those wheels   :jumping:

If, by chance, I found a set in the future, what would you guess they would be worth?
