70 cuda tail light bezels.

Who makes'em, who has 'em? These always warp. I think they are made of pot metal or something and would be nice to find a part that won't warp or anything in the future.

They bend really easy. I had to bend mine back into shape.  You still have yours?  What side is bad?   Maybe I got some for you. But I havent seen any new ones

Billet would be nice anodized black. Mine aren't really bad, they could probably bend back fine, but just how long before they warp again? And how many times till they crack from the re-saping?
If indeed there is a billet deal I would jump on them.
Thanks Al but mine are, I would say minor, warped but fixable.

The only time I experienced what you call warped is when they were removed and were bent in the process. When they are pryed out on an angle instead of pulled straight out they will bend. For the most part they never warp.

I guess from what it sounds like mine are tightened to tight. Where the mounting locations are it looks like that is where the distortion is at.
Thanks guys.

P G Classics shows the 70 brezels in their catalog.  I bet BEA has them as well.  They usually look way worse than they are, at least mine did.  I was able to re-mold my originals by carefully working the soft metal back into shape.

Do you have to apply heat or at least get them warm like setting them in the sun on a hot day? It is so cold here right now, 43 degrees.

No heat needed.  They are pretty mallable (sp).  I was worried when doing mine about breaking them but they easily went back into shape.  It's usually just the top rail that needs pushed back up.  Also, they are available if you should happen to break them.  Good luck.

Matbe you could sit them on wood and using a rubber or wooden mallet, you could gently tap the threads down to flatten out the dimples on the facia. :dunno: But be gentle. :faint:
