You did it! It's on it's own power! I'm with Travis, I'm jealous too! I've got the 6.1 sitting in my garage and knowing it's a couple of years before it's running.........

Keep us updated as you tune the AEM system.

Thanks everyone. It means a lot to me, so many of you have helped & encouraged me along the way.   :worshippy
I hope I can do the same for all of you.
The startup map is a little fat & yes I have help from House of Boost  a local tuner garage that understands what all that data means and how to do it.  :ylsuper:
I had a barbeque for them for making a house call instead of taking my car to them; yes, we drank a little brew it was a good safe time.

I need to post some shots of the new tune now that it’s closer to what it should be.(yep 2 o2's)

I had extra fans running in the garage to cool us and clear the fumes and smoke and that little camera picked them up better than the exhaust.
I need to get better video my little cheap camera cannot record the sound the way it should.  :blah:

Overall it was simple, zeroing out the timing was the hardest part,  :pullinghair:  it took us two tries to put it where they wanted it.
Now I need to get her road worthy and over to the chassis dyno for a final tune up then I am going to drive the wheels off it.  :burnout: :burnout:

I will post better video and sound over the weekend.

Steve I am the cinematographer. LOL…  :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:
I do have one for you with my mug in it. :faint:

Stay tuned................
Scott

Do you have the shafts?  Maybe I missed it, you going with a fancy Steering column?  I used a place out of Indiana for my driveshaft, very reasonable.  Fort Wayne Clutch and driveshaft.

I would like to put a tilt in it but ... :dunno: I need to do something soon.
How much did they charge you?
I would like to go aluminum but I may just put a cheaper one in her for now.
I really want to start driving  :burnout:

I got a 3" spicer no seam tube with 7290's non greasable u-joints and the slip yoke for 300 shipped to my door.  They had cheaper ones for like 225 if you want to wait for the Al jobber.  I think Mancini does the aluminum too.  Fort Wayne may do it as well, just not sure.

Tom

Summer is going, but you need to make it the way you want it for sure.

Sounds good!

Youare goint to LOVE it! I know I love my 6.1 '71 'Hemi" Cuda :)

On that second video, you and your buddy look like you are concerned about that light tapping noise. I have that same tapping noise and decided it mus be the headers. I had that same sound on an LS1 Trans Am I installed cma, head and headers.
That 6.1 makes some insane power. You see most people look at the HP number (425), but the bottom line is how the power is put down over the rpm curve. The 6.1 pulls hard all the time. I could be cruising at 30 and hit and it takes off like a bat out of hell. The same goes for freeway and speeds.
The best part is you sit at a light and sound like a 318, hit it and roars and takes off...kinda like Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde :)
